I have participated, independently -- not exactly participation -- but cooperation with them. They have this method of participation which is volunteer work, to work for free, through cultural centres.
I remember, one of their activities which I have been doing for about three to four years, is that they send a letter to every artist they know requesting one volunteer day or a working week, to do a workshop for a local school that is in your area. And they specify the school, and then you go and teach art for children, and you should be an experienced artist, and he should be trusted, must be qualified to work with children.
I did this volunteer work about three times, for three years, in June of every year. I gave three or four days of my time to teach children on those occasions, and those children were between 5 to 11 or 12 years old. I taught them art. This is one of the volunteer works that I did. I also participated in Iraqi events; I helped Iraqi students in art workshops, which I started last year in the summer.
