This lesson aims to challenge pupils' personal views and feelings about asylum seekers. As a starter activity, pupils will work in pairs using true/false quiz cards to find out the facts behind some of the myths about asylum seekers.
Pupils will then explore the process of seeking asylum in the UK, which could lead to a role-play or writing activity. Pupils will be encouraged to reflect upon the difficulties faced by those seeking asylum.
