What you're actually working on

Djordje Gveric

Q: And can you describe exactly what it is that you're actually working on at the moment?

Well it's--, what I do is I look into all these factors that can influence how people get multiple sclerosis and what I do now there's a group of enzymes that are involved in a clotting system, and how these enzymes actually dissolve the clot which forms not only in the blood vessels but part of this substance which is called fibrin is deposited in the brain, and it stops nerve--, nerves from re-generating during the MS and these enzymes which can dissolve these fibrin clots.

They could help in actually sort of promoting neuronal cell regeneration and repairing MS, sort of stop people from being paralysed and having all these symptoms that they have. Well that's sort of a short version of it.
