Oral History Projects

22nd March 2010

9.30 am - 1.00 pm

The Resource Centre

*  Does your organisation want to start working on a creative project that will help your community to improve its communication with the wider society?

*  Do you want to find out how to apply for funding for that project?

*  Come and learn about playback theatre and how to use it as a tool for oral history documentation and for exploring issues affecting your community!

This half day workshop will offer practical advice on how to apply for funding and give you an introduction to playback theatre, a form of improvisational theatre in which the performers facilitate the telling and playing back of personal stories shared by the audience. Playback theatre has been used internationally to facilitate discussions and sharing within and across communities, for general or specific topics, and in oral history projects. True Heart Theatre and the Heritage Lottery Fund will be delivering the workshops in collaboration with us.
