En exilio - Latin American Portraits in London

The main features of this exhibition are a film and a photographic display. Film and photographs are based on twelve in-depth life history interviews with Latin American refugees living in London. The film will explore the difficulties of making a home away from home and coming to terms with living in exile. The photographs are portraits of the interviewees and aim to reflect the character and personality of each of them.

From 29 July - 3 August (with the exception of Sunday 30 July) the exhibition, comprising portrait photographs of refugees from Latin America, will be open every evening from 4.30pm - 8.30pm. A documentary film featuring the project interviewees will be shown every day at 6pm. Other activities, including the showing of a range of Latin American films, will be ongoing throughout the week. There will be a final showing of the documentary on the closing evening, 3 August, followed by live music.
