Film Launch: The Way We Are in London, through the city with refugees from the former Yugoslavia.

To mark the end of its involvement with the Refugee Communities History Project the Bosnian Resource Information Centre Kosovar Support (BRICKS) is launching the film The Way We Are in London at Hampstead Town Hall on 15th October 2005. The Film gives an intimate insight into rich and varied experiences of London from the point of view of refugees from the Former Yugoslavia and is based on oral history collected as part of the Refugee Communities History Project.
The film has been produced as part of the Refugee Communities History Project which is being led by the Evelyn Oldfield Unit in partnership with the Museum of London, London Metropolitan University and 15 Refugee Community Organisations including the Bosnian Resource Information Centre and Kosovar Support. It is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Trust for London. It will collect 150 life histories of refugees in London in order to highlight the social, economic and cultural contributions refugees have made to the city.
